This Privacy Statement applies to all subpages of this website, regardless of how you access or use the pages, including access using mobile devices. We can amend this Privacy Statement at any time by publishing the amended version incl. date, on this page.

We take protection of your personal data very seriously. We treat your personal data in confidence and in accordance with statutory data regulations and this Privacy Statement.

It is generally possible to use our website without giving any personal data. If personal data is collected on our website (for example, name, address or email addresses), this is done on a voluntary basis wherever possible. This data is not passed on to third parties without your express agreement.

Data transmission over the internet (e.g. email communication) may be subject to security vulnerabilities. It is not possible to fully protect data against access by third parties.

Handling of personal data

Personal data is data with which a person can be identified, i.e. information that can be traced back to a person. It includes name, email address or telephone number. However, personal data also includes data about preferences, hobbies, memberships or websites a person has visited.

The provider only collects, uses and passes on personal data if this is permitted by law or the user consents to the data collection.

Cookies

This website uses “cookies”. Cookies do not harm your computer or contain viruses. Cookies make our online presence more user-friendly, effective and secure. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer and saved by your browser.

Most of the cookies we use are “session” cookies. They are automatically deleted at the end of your visit. Other cookies are saved on your terminal device until you delete them. These cookies enable us to recognise your browser the next time you visit.

You can adjust your browser settings so that you are informed when cookies are stored, and to only allow cookies in individual cases, to refuse cookies in certain cases or in general, as well as to automatically delete cookies when the browser is closed. Deactivating cookies can impair the functionality of this website.

Server log files

The provider of this website automatically collects and saves information in server log files that your browser automatically sends to us. This information is:

browser type / version
operating system used
referrer URL
host name of the accessing computer
time of the server request

This data cannot be associated with specific persons. This data is not merged with other data sources. We reserve the right to subsequently check data if we become aware of concrete indications of illegal use.

Contact form

If you send us an enquiry via the contact form, we will save your information from the enquiry form, including the contact details you have supplied there, for the purposes of processing your enquiry and for any follow-up questions. We will not pass on your data without your agreement.

Objection to advertising emails

We hereby object to the use of the contact details, published in accordance with the obligation to provide information about the website, for sending unsolicited advertisement and information materials. The operators of the site expressly reserve the right to take legal action in the event of unsolicited sending of advertising information, for example in the form of spam emails.

Newsletter data

Data that is collected when a user signs up for e-news is used exclusively for personalising and sending emails. It is not passed onto third parties. In order to prevent misuse of email addresses, subscribers must confirm that they have ordered our e-news by email using an automated process (double opt in).

You can withdraw your agreement to data and email addresses being saved and used for sending the newsletter, at any time, for example by clicking the “opt out” link in the newsletter.

Data collection and use for order processing and opening a customer account

We collect personal data if you voluntarily communicate it to us when you place an order, make contact with us (e.g. using the contact form or by email) or if you open a customer account. The data that is collected can be seen on the relevant input form. We use the data you have provided for performing the contract and for handling your enquiry. Once performance of the contract is complete or your customer account has been deleted, you data will be blocked against further use and deleted following the retention periods required by tax and commercial law, unless you have expressly agreed to further use of your data or unless we reserve the right to further use of the data that is permitted by law and about which we provide information below. You can delete your customer account at any time, either by sending a message to the contact details given below or by using the function intended for this purpose in the customer account.

Data transmission for orders and reservations on this site (WooCommerce)

We only transmit personal data to third parties if this is necessary for performance of the contract, for example to the bank instructed to process the payment. Your data will not be transmitted for advertising purposes, for example. You can object to use of the data that was saved when you placed an order, at any time, free of charge. Just send an email.

Encoded payment transactions on this website

Payments using common payment methods are only transacted via an encoded SSL connection. You can tell if a connection is encoded because the address line of your browser will change from “http://” to “https://” and the padlock symbol will appear.

If communication is encoded, third parties cannot see the payment data that you send to us.

Privacy statement for use of Google Analytics

This website uses functions of the web analysis service, Google Analytics. This service is provided by Google Inc. 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. Google Analytics uses “Cookies”. Cookies are text files that are stored on your computer and allow your use of the website to be analysed. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is normally transmitted to a Google server in the USA, where it is stored.

However, if IP anonymisation is activated on this website, Google will first abbreviate your IP address within the Member States of the European Union or in other states party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only under exceptional circumstances will your full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and abbreviated there. Google will use this information on behalf of the operator of this website to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports about website activities and to provide the website operator with further services associated with website use and internet use. Google does not merge the IP address transmitted by your browser through Google Analytics with other data.

You can prevent cookies from being stored by making the relevant settings in your browser software; however, in this case, you might not be able to make full use of all of the functions of this website. You can also prevent the data (incl. your IP address) generated by the cookie about your use of the website from being collected and processed by Google by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link: tools.google.com

Privacy statement for use of Facebook plugins (e.g. “Like” button)

Plugins from the social network Facebook, provider Facebook Inc., 1 Hacker Way, Menlo Park, California 94025, USA, are integrated into our webpages. Facebook plugins are recognisable by the Facebook logo or the “Like” button on our site. You can find an overview of Facebook plugins here: developers.facebook.com

When you visit our website, the plugin will create a direct link between your browser and the Facebook server. This tells Facebook that you have visited our site with your IP address. If you click the Facebook “Like” button while you are logged into your Facebook account, you can link the content of our website on your Facebook profile. This allows Facebook to assign the visit to our website to your user account. We, as the provider of the website, are not informed of the content of the transmitted data or its use by Facebook.

You can find more information about this in Facebook’s privacy statement at facebook.com/policy

If you do not want Facebook to be able to assign your visit to our website to your Facebook user account, simply log out of your Facebook account.

It is also possible to block Facebook Social Plugins with add-ons for your browser, such as the “Facebook Blocker”.

Digital products / app

We respect your privacy, and our app and digital products will not access files or other information on a device on which your apps or digital products are located, if these files and information are not used by those of our app or for performance of our digital products or otherwise linked to them.

Our app provides information about download, use and performance of the app, as well as information about the devices on which you have downloaded and use our app. For example, the app can provide information about device type, networks, IP address, information about your internet provider, the location of the device on which the app is running, information about when the app is started, individual session length or why an app isn’t working.

YouTube

Our website incorporates online offers from other websites (e.g. YouTube and Wistia). The providers of this content must know the user’s IP address because they cannot send content to the user’s browser without it. The IP address is used to transmit data from their sender to the intended recipient and is therefore necessary in order to present this content. We endeavour only to use content whose provider uses the IP address only for delivering the content. However, we have no influence on third-party providers using the IP address, e.g. for statistical purposes. We will inform the user as soon as we become aware of this.

MailChimp

We use the provider MailChimp for sending our newsletter. MailChimp is provided by The Rocket Science Group, 675 Ponce de Leon Ave NE, Suite 5000, Atlanta, GA 30308, USA (“Rocket”). Data saved at registration is sent to and stored by Rocket. The data that is entered at registration is not sent to other third parties. All other information and provisions can be found in the MailChimp Privacy Statement!

Third-party privacy policies

This privacy statement only applies to use and transfer of personal data that we collect from you in connection with provision of our services. If you send your data to a third party or if you are forwarded to the website of a third party, the privacy statement of the third party will apply to all personal data with which you provide this third party and that it collects from you.

We cannot guarantee confidentiality or security of your personal data after you have sent it to a third party. We therefore recommend that you closely check the privacy statement and privacy policies of third parties before making a transaction and sending your data.

Information, deletion, blocking

You have the right at any time to free information about any of your personal data that is stored, its origin and recipients, and the purpose of data processing, as well as the right to have this data corrected, blocked or deleted. If you have any further questions about personal data, please do not hesitate to contact us at the address given in the Web Credits and Legal Info.
